1. Four-alarm fire rips through Etobicoke waste facility just before 4 a.m. Toronto Fire responded to 156 Disco Rd. with a four-alarm assignment (19–22 vehicles); roof collapse reported, no injuries, crews to remain on scene for the day while cause is investigated.
2. Adolescent pulled from Mississauga backyard pool and taken to hospital in critical condition. Peel Regional Police say officers were called to Dundas St. West and Erin Mills Pkwy at about 11:30 a.m.; EMS initially reported the patient in critical condition and investigators are probing the circumstances.
