  1. Deux personnes décédées après le crash et l'incendie d'un petit avion près de Fergus (Ont.). La Police provinciale de l'Ontario (OPP) indique qu'un biplan sportif construit de façon amateur s'est écrasé près de Beatty Line et de la route Wellington 17 après avoir décollé de l'aéroport de Fergus vers 10 h; les deux occupants, décrits par le Bureau de la sécurité des transports comme des pilotes expérimentés, ont été déclarés morts sur les lieux et l'OPP a dégagé la zone samedi vers midi.
  2. Un suspect recherché après une effraction et une agression sexuelle tôt le matin dans le Vieux‑Toronto. La police de Toronto dit avoir été appelée vers 5 h vendredi à l'intersection de la rue Richmond Est et de la rue Sherbourne; la victime a réussi à s'échapper et le suspect, décrit comme un homme blanc à la corpulence mince et à la barbe négligée, a pris la fuite et demeure recherché par les enquêteurs.
