  1. Two tornadoes touched down in southwestern Ontario on Saturday, one near Lindsay and one in Woodstock. The Northern Tornadoes Project gave both storms preliminary EF0 ratings (estimated winds 65–85 km/h) and said reported damage was minor; the group did not plan survey teams immediately. The City of Woodstock reported ongoing cleanup and closure of a cricket field after a damaged fence.

  2. One person died and another was rescued after a canoe capsized on Stewart Lake Saturday night. Ontario Provincial Police in Bracebridge said the canoe overturned about 40 feet from shore shortly after 8 p.m.; searchers recovered the 31-year-old from Mississauga on Sunday and the Office of the Chief Coroner is involved in the investigation.

  3. A 52-year-old motorcycle rider was killed in a head-on crash on Muskoka Road 169 Saturday evening. Ontario Provincial Police said the collision near East Black Lake Road occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m.; the passenger-vehicle driver faces a charge of dangerous operation causing death and is due at Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Sunday.
