Three people charged after police-involved shooting that killed a 19-year-old. Toronto police say a 19-year-old driver was shot and died after officers tracked a Mercedes from Toronto to Mississauga; three passengers (ages 23, 19 and 17) now face a total of 42 charges including firearms and weapons offences, and two guns were recovered while the SIU has opened an investigation.

Two 18-year-olds charged with first-degree murder in Salsa on St. Clair shooting. Toronto police say the July 11 street-festival shooting left two people dead (ages 25 and 20) and injured five others among a crowd of about 13,000; investigators executed a search warrant near Weston and St. Phillips roads and seized firearms, narcotics and cash.

RCMP seize more than $4.5 million in cocaine, three charged in Golden Horseshoe probe. Mounties say searches in Toronto and Hamilton led to a July 8 condominium search and arrests of two men inside and a third nearby; investigators also seized about $165,000 in cash and jewelry believed to be proceeds of crime.

Ride operator charged after alleged sexual assault of a girl at Vaughan amusement park. York Regional Police say the incident occurred in late May; a 19-year-old Brampton man faces charges of sexual assault and sexual interference and investigators believe there may be other victims.

Nearly $800,000 in stolen trucks and computer equipment recovered in Brampton. Peel Regional Police recovered four stolen commercial vehicles and trailers on July 22 at Heart Lake Road and Countryside Drive and found two shipments of computer equipment valued at about $680,000; the trailers are estimated at $105,000 and no suspects have been identified.

Brampton man charged with impaired operation of a fully-loaded dump truck. OPP say a 27-year-old was stopped after a noon-hour complaint about a gravel dump truck swerving near Queen Street in Puslinch Township; police charged him with operation while impaired (80 mg or more), suspended his licence 90 days and impounded the truck for seven days.

Brockville Aquatarium welcomes three otter pups; now home to eight otters. Staff say Mayble gave birth and the pups are five months old; animal husbandry curator Liz Harder told Global News the pups remain reliant on their mother for between eight months and one year.
