- Fast-moving wildfire forces full evacuation around Boston Bar after sparking Tuesday afternoon. Fraser Valley Regional District issued an evacuation order for Boston Bar, Boston Bar First Nation, North Bend and Canyon Alpine as a fire estimated at about 300 hectares started across the Fraser River and sits a few hundred metres from the southern edge of the Brunswick Creek fire; Highway 1 is closed between Anderson River Mainline and Jackass Summit.
- Kimberley told to prepare for evacuation as nearby wildfire grows to about six square kilometres. BC Wildfire Service says the blaze is roughly 10 kilometres west of Kimberley, the city has more than 8,000 residents, crews will use heavy equipment to build containment lines and the fire was detected Saturday amid warming, drying conditions.

- Westview Mall in North Vancouver closed after shots fired; one person arrested. North Vancouver RCMP confirmed the shopping centre and parking lot are closed Tuesday afternoon, said one person is in custody and stated there is no risk to the public while officers investigate; people were asked to avoid the area.
- Man charged with second-degree murder in 64-year-old Nanaimo woman's death. Nanaimo RCMP say Sherry Shelley, 64, was reported missing Nov. 14 and found dead after a vehicle fire on College Drive; Cameron Compton has been charged with second-degree murder and indignity to human remains and remains in custody.

- Premier David Eby says 'not a chance in hell' U.S. alcohol returns to B.C. shelves amid tariffs. Speaking at the premiers' meeting in Prince Edward Island, Eby rejected reintroducing U.S. alcohol after new U.S. tariffs, said B.C. is diversifying trade to Asia including India and China and noted provincial staff will contact the U.S. ambassador about USA 250 website references.
- Federal fast-track referral for Roberts Bank Terminal 2 raises local security questions. Delta Mayor George Harvie warned this week that the proposed three-berth Roberts Bank expansion — billed to add 50 per cent container capacity and enable up to $100 billion in new annual trade capacity — still lacks portwide security upgrades comparable to some European ports.
