  2. Toronto woman convicted of hiding parents’ bodies has died before sentencing. Lorraine Wiseman, 56, had pleaded guilty Feb. 19 to two counts of offering an indignity to a body after police discovered Ruby and Neil Wiseman in her Scarborough home; the Crown stayed charges on June 19 due to her death.
  3. 14-year-old who murdered Pickering grandmother apologized in Oshawa courtroom. Identified in court only as A.S., the youth pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in April for the May 29, 2025 killing of 83-year-old Eleanor Doney and delivered a written apology during sentencing proceedings.
