Tragic discovery in Mission: Police say the remains of 45‑year‑old Masood Masjoody, who was reported missing on Feb. 2, were found in Mission on March 6, and the BC Prosecution Service has approved one count of first‑degree murder each against 48‑year‑old Mehdi Ahmadzadeh Razavi (Maple Ridge) and 45‑year‑old Arezou Soltani (North Vancouver). The two were arrested Friday and remain in custody, are expected to appear in court Monday, and IHIT’s Sgt. Freda Fong says investigators believe the killing was targeted; the case has also caused concern in the local Iranian community. Police say the accused had no criminal record in Canada and the investigation is ongoing.
