🏠 Perspectives

  1. Une découverte déchirante a émergé concernant notre passé. La Nation Cree de Sturgeon Lake a annoncé avoir des preuves que 82 enfants ont perdu la vie pendant leur séjour à l'école résidentielle de St. François Xavier, avec des âges allant de sept à seize ans. Cette douloureuse révélation met en lumière l'impact continu des écoles résidentielles et l'importance de reconnaître notre histoire.

🌿 Environnement

  1. Calgary devient-elle la nouvelle décharge ? La résidente locale Monique Trudeau en a assez des déchets qui tourbillonnent autour de son quartier, surtout que la faune comme les oies et les canards en subissent les conséquences. Elle a parcouru entre 6 et 10 km par jour dans sa lutte contre la pollution par les déchets provenant de la décharge à proximité de Shepard. Il est temps d'appeler l'équipe de nettoyage et de redonner à la nature sa beauté intacte !

🚑 Trafic et sécurité

  1. Un bus se renverse et trois personnes sont hospitalisées. Pendant la heure de pointe matinale, un bus de Calgary Transit a heurté un semi-remorque transportant du gravier, entraînant le renversement du bus. Heureusement, la plupart des passagers n'ont pas été blessés, mais trois adultes ont été transportés à l'hôpital. Des accidents comme celui-ci nous rappellent de rester vigilants sur la route — protégeons-nous les uns les autres !

🚔 Crime et sécurité

  1. Un policier de la GRC dans le viseur. Un policier a plaidé coupable d'agression simple sur deux adolescents, soulevant des questions sur la responsabilité au sein des forces de l'ordre. Avec la confiance dans la police étant primordiale, cette situation mérite d'être sous haute surveillance pour s'assurer que de tels incidents ne se reproduisent pas.
  2. Un entraîneur de lycée fait face à de graves accusations d'abus. Après près de deux ans de comportements inappropriés allégués avec un mineur, les autorités locales sont intervenues pour mettre ce trouble à jour. Cela met en exergue le besoin de vigilance au sein de nos communautés pour protéger notre jeunesse.
