🚨 Criminalité et sécurité publique

  1. ASIRT ouvre une enquête après qu’une femme affirme qu’un agent lui a écrasé le visage contre le trottoir. Fabyan Deschamps affirme qu’un agent d’Edmonton l’a saisie par l’arrière de la tête et l’a jetée au sol en août, lui causant des blessures au visage et au dos et des maux de tête persistants; l’Équipe de réponse aux incidents graves de l’Alberta (ASIRT) a confirmé qu’elle enquête et le Service de police d’Edmonton prépare une réponse.

  2. Un jeune de 18 ans victime d’un carjacking à main armée lors d’une rencontre via Facebook Marketplace à Rutherford. La victime a rencontré des acheteurs au McDonald’s sur James Mowatt Trail le 28 sept. et affirme qu’un suspect masqué a pointé une arme, l’a forcée à quitter son Toyota Highlander 2006 et s’est enfui; des images d’un véhicule à proximité ont capté le vol et la police d’Edmonton enquête.

La Gendarmerie royale du Canada (GRC) — police fédérale — a porté des accusations contre Dwight Peter MacIntyre, 44 ans, et sa prochaine comparution est fixée au 25 nov.; les enquêteurs disent que les publications sur les réseaux sociaux ont franchi le seuil du délit et l’enquête est en cours.
