- SPVM has sent evidence on alleged racist conduct by station 39 officers to Quebec prosecutors. The Montreal police said evidence from an investigation into discriminatory conduct by officers assigned to the Montreal-North neighbourhood station was submitted to Le Directeur des poursuites criminelles et pénales (DPCP) for review, following the June disbanding and disarming of a 16-member patrol unit and multiple suspensions, including a fourth suspension on Aug. 19.

- New polls put the Parti Québécois in majority territory and show CAQ support collapsing. Three polls released with one week left before the Oct. 5 election show the PQ rising under Paul St‑Pierre Plamondon while the Coalition Avenir Québec, led by Christine Fréchette, fell sharply (Léger places CAQ at 16%), and Route127.ca projected the PQ could win a majority while the CAQ might win no seats.
- Advance polls continue as Quebec’s campaign enters its final week with Oct. 5 voting day. Voters could cast advance ballots today from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the second and final day of early voting, and campaign talk has centred on health care, the economy, language and reports of possible U.S. interference discussed on the trail.
- Fall flu and COVID-19 vaccination programs are rolling out with priority groups identified.
