  3. Mississauga woman’s charges upgraded to second-degree murder after stabbing victim dies. Peel Regional Police say officers responded to a Sept. 6 stabbing near Dixie Road and Dundas Street East around 5:30 p.m.; Lorena Sanchez, 42, was arrested Sept. 7 on attempted murder and had charges upgraded to second-degree murder after the victim died in hospital on Sept. 10.
  4. Two men stabbed in King West Village early Friday; one critically injured. Toronto police were called to King and Portland streets around 4:33 a.m.; paramedics transported both men to hospital, with one described as having potentially life-threatening injuries and the other with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
