Un rapport de la School of Public Policy de l’Université de Calgary, commandé par le gouvernement albertais, estime des coûts de séparation allant de 50 milliards $ à 170 milliards $ au cours des cinq premières années et avertit qu’un scénario « difficile » pourrait réduire le PIB de 10,1 % et faire baisser le salaire typique d’environ 5 500 $ en cinq ans.
